How come there were no mask avengers in england(1200-1400s)?

They would had fit perfectly in that era. If a guy in the 1200-1400s had a duel identity, he would had gotten away with a lot of stuff whether htey are good or evil. There were no dna testing, finger prints dusting back then. Heck, you could had the woman who put your "real self" in the friend zone fall in love with you as your costume alter ego. Also, you mean to tell me no peasant has ever thought of creating a costume and fight crime like thieves, crooks, etc?
