Uk childtaxcredit confused about payments?

My babi gurl is 5 weeks, we applied for childtax 3 weeks ago. Within application we asked for it to be back-dated like it says to in the guidence notes. We got one sixty pounds payment yesterday but no back-payment. I called but couldn't get through. What's happened to my back-payment? Someone with same experience, please help?
